The Game Is On!

It is with great sadness, and yet some bit of anticipation, that I discovered today I will not be covering Game of Thrones for the site for which I provide the most television review coverage. I was greatly saddened because I truly love the books and the series, and have put aside a year of my life when I could have reading the books to ensure better coverage of the show toward the nature of the analysis warranted on the site.

However, that is not to be. The good news is, I have rushed headfirst back into book 3, A Storm of Swords, which I had put down after realizing the difficulty of covering the show after having read the books. But fear not! I haven't created this site for nothing.

There is obviously a passion I have deeply ingrained inside of me that wishes to be heard. The joy of writing about incredible series, both books and television, such as Game of Thrones is one of the reasons for my devotion to entertainment.

I"m going to cover the books and the show on the Modwild pages. I have a this and Modwild.com. Keep an eye on Google+, Twitter and (gods forbid) Facebook, for the latest postings. I have to draw the line at Pinterest. A bulletin board teen I am not.

Let's think of me as the Morgan Freeman of the behind the scenes of the entertainment business. I'm going to do something. It may be one lousy, cheesy B (C, D, E or F) movie or it may be something more. But I'm not giving up. I'm going to continue to learn, make contacts and grow. This is a weird and fickle business. Every day brings to light something I could never have dreamed (and yet, probably did dream). Oh - I've also read that you are never, EVER to use parentheses for any reason whatsoever...maybe I'm the new trend...so, screw it.

What do I have to lose? I have a full time job where they support my outside interests (parens...if you are ever in Denver and want to do an interview, it would tickle the patoots out of my bosses) and a hell of a lot of free time.

That said, look for my reviews of Game of Thrones Season Two, plus a Storm of Swords. Additionally, I'll be attending the ATX Festival in June in AUSTIN, TEXAS to make some contacts. I want to know you, and dammit, I think I'm a pretty cool person to know, too. :-)
